Corporate Giving

As a firm, we take pride in being a good corporate citizen in the communities where we live and work.

FBR supports and encourages our employees’ participation in community programs where their personal leadership and involvement really makes a difference. The FBR Charitable Foundation encourages these commitments by striving to direct support to charities in which our employees play an active role. 

We support more than 100 deserving organizations, but education for disadvantaged and at-risk children is our highest priority. Among the organizations receiving significant support in recent years are:

• AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation
• Black Student Fund
• Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington
• Center City Consortium
• Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund

We regret that the FBR Charitable Foundation has suspended all grantmaking for the remainder of 2008.

Since 2004, FBR has been the title sponsor of the FBR Open, a highly successful PGA TOUR event held in late January or early February in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since FBR's sponsorship began, more than $30 million has been raised for local and national charities serving children and families.
