FBR Capital Markets' alternative products are managed by FBR Investment Management, Inc. (FBRIM), an SEC-registered investment adviser subsidiary. 

FBRIM manages private funds and individual accounts which invest with third party managers and proprietary strategies through an open architecture platform.  FBRIM and its affiliates have been active in the alternative asset business since 1989, managing a broad spectrum of alternative asset investment vehicles, including hedge, private equity and venture capital funds.

FBRIM's investors comprise of both high net worth individuals and institutions, including corporations and endowments.

FBRIM has dedicated sales, compliance, investor relations and accounting personnel for its alternative platform in addition to the supervisory, legal and risk management personnel provided by FBR Capital Markets.
